ln 1818, Madame Clicquot broke with tradition and created the very first blended rosé in Champagne. The cuvée is based on the traditional Yellow Label blend, completed with 12% of red Pinot Noir especially selected to bring strength and aromatic richness. The red wine used into the Veuve Clicquot's rosé champagne has been made from a maceration method.​
