Le Gauchiste (go-sheest) pays homage to all great things from the left. This Napa Valley blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot 3% Petit Verdot. Dark cherry, fresh blueberry and cassis notes pop out of the glass immediately, and are underlined by subtle hints of spice, vanilla bean and dark chocolate notes. The palate-entry bursts with ripe raspberry and blackberry elements. The fruit profile is supported by awell-rounded tannin structure that carries the fruit through to an extended finish. In classic Left Bank fashion, the Cabernet Franc blends into the wine to add brightness and a lush tannin profile. 120 magnums produced
