Rising 1,650 feet above the Napa Valley floor on the southwest side of Howell Mountain, our Cold Springs Vineyard sits above the fog line. The distinctive climate, along with volcanic and iron-rich red soils, produce fruit with great balance and intensity. At release this wine shows vanilla, cherry, fresh bay leaf, mineral, peppercorn and black licorice on the nose. The wine is full-bodied with flavors of cherry and dried currants, with firm tannins leading to a lengthy finish.
