Barkan Platinum is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, grown in the Upper Galilee. During our yearly tasting of barrels, where we assign barrels to individual wines, we found unique characteristics in a number of phenomenal Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. We marked those barrels, and they continued to age for 18 months, until they were ready for the release of the new Barkan Platinum.
